Pacific Timesheet Update

Version 6.63 Build 200, April 27, 2009

This page documents all new features, enhancements and bug fixes included in this release of Pacific Timesheet. For information on changes made in previous versions of Pacific Timesheet, please see the release notes archive.

New Features and Enhancements

1. Timesheet Correction Changes

Timesheet corrections are more fully integrated into the timesheet workflow process. Users who can edit timesheets will now see an "Add Correction" button on submitted timesheets that they are allowed to edit (timesheets belonging to employees that they have the "Can Edit Timesheet" permission). Corrective time entries now require a description of the change, to more fully comply with DCAA auditing requirements.

2. Variable or Exception Rate Changes

You can now enter exception rates for billing and payroll directly on the appropriate object's properties page. For instance, if your bill rates depend primarily on the project, but you make exceptions for some tasks, you can now specify the exception rate for each task directly on the project's properties page. Previous to this release exception rates had to be imported into the system through the database.

3. Employee Inactivation Change

When inactivating an employee, and you have specified their "Last Day" property, the system will automatically remove any leave the employee might have submitted for future timesheets that fall after their last day. This will avoid having leave time show up long after the employee has been inactivated.

4. REST API Changes

Support has been added for the following objects in the REST API: Customers, Project Groups and Task Groups. Previously only Projects and Tasks were supported in the REST API. The online documentation describes the REST API calls for each of these objects in detail.

5. Timesheet Importing Change

Administrators or anyone with the "Can Import" timesheet permission for all employees can now import timesheet data from a remote computer. This includes our online service, so Pacific Timesheet online customers can now import timesheet data given the appropriate employee permissions.

6. Employee Balances Display Changes

You can now show/hide yearly balance details on the Employees > Balance History page. This makes it easier to view a single year's worth of balance history by reducing the amount of scrolling you need to do. In addition, employees can now see their balance history on their Home page - the Current Balances on the Home page are now links that, once clicked, will show their balance history.
