This page documents all feature enhancements and bug fixes included in the Pacific Timesheet 5.8 update. For information on changes made in previous versions of Pacific Timesheet, please see the release notes archive.

1. New Time Clock Device Support.

Pacific Timesheet now supports time clocks and biometric devices from ACTAtek (www.actatek.com). ACTAtek devices are premium devices that are fully web-enabled and bring sophisticated access control and time and attendance features to Pacific Timesheet. This new support can be accessed from the System > Devices page.

2. Windows Vista Officially Supported.

Pacific Timesheet has been validated on Windows Vista, and is now officially supported.

3. Bill Rates and Pay Rates in Summary Reports.

When TimeEntry.billRate and TimeEntry.payRate fields are used in timesheet summary reports (such as the Employee Hours Report) their values are now calculated. For instance, TimeEntry.billRate is computed as SUM(TimeEntry.billAmount)/SUM(TimeEntry.hours), rather than SUM(TimeEntry.billRate). This will result in more expected values being returned on these reports.

4. Approval Details Now Visible on Timesheet.

You can see timesheet approval details (such as the date and person doing the approval) directly from the timesheet.
