Capacity Planning

In general, hard disk space is related to the number of time, work and asset entries created.

  • Timesheets:
A single timesheet can require at least 150K of storage. To plan for timesheet capacity you can multiply this estimate by the number of active employees with timesheets and the number of weeks in a year.
  • Work, Asset and Other Entries:
A single data entry can range in size from as few as 5K to as much data as an entire timesheet, if the entry is a supervisor log, for example. Entries can contain files such as images, documents or other items that can take up even more storage. A ranged estimate of data capacity needed for your system will require analyzing the type and number of work, asset other entry data types being stored in your system.
